Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur will need to match Norwich's £25m asking price to sign James Maddison this summer, according to a report in England
Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur will have to spend £25m to sign Norwich City midfielder James Maddison this summer, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that Chelsea FC and Tottenham are interested in the impressive 21-year-old but the London duo face intense Premier League competition.
Runaway leaders Manchester City have also been linked with a potential swoop to sign the Norwich starlet, while Everton are another club touted with an interest in the Canaries star.
The same article suggests that even more Premier League clubs have been scouting Maddison following his standout season at Carrow Road.
The England Under-21 international has netted eight times in 28 games in all competitions this season to help Norwich challenge for promotion back to the Premier League.
According to the same story, Norwich’s £25m asking price will scare off some Premier League clubs but Chelsea FC and Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to be deterred.
Maddison started his professional career at Coventry City before the attacking midfielder moved to Norwich in the 2016 January transfer window.
The English playmaker has scored 10 goals in 34 games in his fledgling Norwich career so far.
Chelsea FC are in fifth place in the Premier League table and four points behind Tottenham Hotspur.
