Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Express, is reporting that the Barcelona signing has informed the La Liga leaders that Luiz is open to a move to the Spanish side.
The same article states that Luiz is so eager to move to Barcelona that the former Paris Saint-Germain is willing to forsake the remainder of his Chelsea FC wages.
According to the Spanish media outlet, Barcelona could reignite their interest in Luiz in the summer after the Spanish side turned down the chance to sign the Blues star last month.
The Brazilian centre-half has fallen out of favour at the defending Premier League champions over the past few months despite playing a key role in their 2016-17 title success.
Luiz was dropped for a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge back in October and has struggled to break back into Antonio Conte’s starting line-up.
Indeed, the 30-year-old versatile defender has started 10 games and has made one substitute appearance in the 2017-18 season so far.
Chelsea FC are in fifth place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur in fourth.
