Both players were withdrawn from their respective national teams to allow them to return to Cobham and work on their fitness levels.
They have been struggling with injuries in recent days but have been working on getting back to full fitness as quickly as possible.
And Conte has revealed that he has not yet made a decision about the pair as he prepares his side for their crunch Premier League showdown against Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Thursday, Conte said: “We have to check on a couple of situations in Courtois and Christensen. We will see what their physical condition is and if they are able to play on Sunday against Tottenham.
“At the moment, it’s very difficult to tell you with accuracy which is my choice for Sunday. We have to check these situations first.
“I have to wait three days before making the best decisions for the team on Sunday.
“For sure now, we have two problems in Courtois and Christensen that we have to check but the most important thing is to have the right physical condition to play a good game. I have to make this decision.”
Chelsea FC head into the game looking to beat Spurs and take a step closer towards claiming a top four finish in the Premier League.
The west London side are currently in fifth place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and get back into the top four before the season is out.
A victory over Spurs on Sunday would leave them just two points behind their London rivals as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
Chelsea FC will take on Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals next month.
