FC Barcelona are interested in signing Luke Shaw from Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mirror is claiming that the Spanish giants are pondering a move for the out-of-favour 22-year-old left-back as they look to strengthen their squad this summer.

The same story says that FC Barcelona are out to sign a new left-back in the summer transfer window and Shaw is “firmly” among their targets ahead of the summer window.

Shaw’s situation at Manchester United has been a source of speculation in recent months due to his lack of playing time under Jose Mourinho.

The left-back has seemingly failed to win the trust of his manager at Old Trafford and he has been linked with a move away from the club as a result.

The story says that Shaw is “refusing” to sign a new deal with the Red Devils, and his current contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

The same article says that FC Barcelona believe that Shaw could be a “value” addition to their squad this summer and they are pondering a summer move for the England international.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will host Swansea City in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday.
