The Eagles took the lead at Selhurst Park in the 13th minute when Luka Milivojevic converted his penalty after Loris Karius had fouled Wilfried Zaha in the box.
Palace went in 1-0 up at half-time but Liverpool FC equalised shortly after the break, when Sadio Mane converted James Milner’s cross in the 49th minute.
The game looked to be heading towards a draw before man of the moment Salah netted the winner in the 84th minute to wrap up the three points for Jurgen Klopp’s men and take the Merseyside outfit one step closer towards securing Champions League qualification for next season.
The result lifted Liverpool FC up into second place in the Premier League ahead of Manchester United’s home clash with Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
And Linda Pizzuti, the wife of Liverpool FC owner John W Henry, was clearly delighted to see Salah net the winner late on in south London.
She wrote on Twitter moments after Salah’s 29th Premier League goal of the season: “Salah!!!!!!!!! #lfc.”
Liverpool FC now switch their attentions back towards Champions League affairs and their crunch clash against Manchester City on Wednesday night in the quarter-finals.
