The Reds signed the Scotland international in an £8m deal from Championship side Hull City in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Robertson started the season out of favour as Jurgen Klopp handed Alberto Moreno a fresh chance to make the left-back spot his own.
However, the Spain international suffered an injury problem in the second half of a 7-0 win over Russian side Spartak Moscow back in December.
Moreno’s fitness setback provided Robertson with a chance to shine in the Liverpool FC team and the summer signing has seized his opportunity.
Robertson has made three assists in 18 games in the Premier League to earn rave reviews for his energetic performances on the left wing.
Former Liverpool FC defender Riise lavished praise on Robertson for his excellent start to his Anfield career.
“I’ve been very impressed. He’s young, aggressive and fit,” Riise told Liverpool FC’s website.
“If he can stay healthy and focused, he has a big future as well. But I want to see him create even more and also score some goals!”
Robertson provided a brilliant assist for Mohamed Salah’s second goal in Liverpool FC’s 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield last weekend.
The Scottish defender was one of Hull’s best players in the Premier League last term despite the Tigers’ relegation to The Championship.
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Manchester United.
