The Brazil international has enjoyed his best season at the Anfield outfit since his £29m move to Liverpool FC from Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim in the 2015 summer transfer window.
Firmino has scored 14 times and has made seven assists in 30 appearances in the Premier League this season to help the Reds stay on course for a top-four finish.
The South American has also netted eight times in nine games in the Champions League to help Jurgen Klopp’s side reach the quarter-finals.
Firmino has also brought out the best in his attacking colleagues Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah to underline his versatility and unselfishness.
Former Arsenal striker Wright raved about Firmino ahead of Liverpool FC’s home clash against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this weekend.
“He is the best for me in that nine-and-a-half position,” Wright told Sky Sports’ The Debate.
“I absolutely adore him in respect of coming off [the striker].
“I actually think he is the best nine-and-a-half in the world.”
Firmino will be hoping to start against Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals at Anfield next week.
The Reds signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk from Premier League rivals Southampton in the January transfer window.
The Merseyside outfit finished in fourth place in Jurgen Klopp’s first full season in charge at the Anfield side.
Liverpool FC haven’t won the Premier League title but finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
