Liverpool FC are worried Joe Gomez could miss both legs of their Champions League quarter-final against Man City, according to a report

Liverpool FC are concerned that Joe Gomez could miss their huge games against Everton and Manchester City following his injury setback on England duty, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the 20-year-old could be a doubt to line up against the Toffees in the Merseyside derby and the Premier League leaders in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Gomez suffered an ankle injury in the 10th minute of England’s 1-0 win over the Netherlands in an international friendly at Amsterdam Arena last week.

The same article states that Liverpool FC are worried Gomez could be one the sidelines for four week to rule him out of the Champions League quarter-final tie on April 4 and April 10.

The Reds have used Gomez at right-back throughout the current campaign as the England international continues to battle with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a starting spot.

Nathaniel Clyne has spent most of the 2017-18 season on the sidelines to allow Gomez get some valuable game time under his belt.

Gomez has made two assists in 21 appearances in the Premier League this season.

The England international has featured in five Champions League games in the current campaign to help Jurgen Klopp’s men reach the quarter-finals.
