The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Salah hit the ground running with a goal on his Liverpool FC debut in a 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road in their season opener.
The African forward netted four times in a 5-0 victory over Watford after Salah netted four times at Anfield last weekend.
The 25-year-old attacker has scored 28 times in 30 games in the Premier League in the current campaign.
Salah has netted a further eight times in cup competitions to help Liverpool FC to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
Former Arsenal star Keown believes Liverpool FC could face interest from La Liga duo FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
“Salah has hit the best form of his career,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“Earlier in the season it struck me how many chances he missed but he has become more ruthless as the season has gone on.
“The challenge for him is to continue this form into next season.
“I just hope that the adulation from the Anfield fans, the buzz from scoring and winning is enough to prevent him from wanting to join a Real Madrid or a Barcelona.”
Liverpool FC are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Manchester United.
The Reds signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a club record £75m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton.
