Mark Lawrenson admits he has been blow away by Mohamed Salah’s incredible start to life at Liverpool FC.

The Reds signed the Egypt international in a club record £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Liverpool FC’s decision to sign Salah was met with some skepticism given his disappointing spell at the defending champions.

The 25-year-old scored on his Liverpool FC debut in a 3-3 draw with Watford in their Premier League opener at the start of the season.

Salah has built on his excellent start with 28 goals in 30 games in the Premier League to lead the division’s goal-scoring charts.

Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson claimed that Salah has made a more impressive start than any other Premier League signing in history.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport. “You run out of words to describe his performances.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.

The Reds signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton in the January transfer window.

The Merseyside outfit will return to Premier League action on Saturday when they travel to Crystal Palace looking to build on their 5-0 win over Watford last time out.
