Craig Bellamy believes Mohamed Salah needs to aim for at least 20 goals in his second Premier League season at Liverpool FC.

The Egypt international has enjoyed a brilliant debut campaign at the Anfield outfit following a return of 28 goals in 30 games in the Premier League.

Salah has netted an additional eight goals in cup competitions to help Liverpool FC secure a spot in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The African forward is 11 goals shy of Ian Rush’s record tally of 47 in a single season with at least nine games to play in the current campaign.

Salah has been touted as a potential target for La Liga giants Real Madrid ahead of the summer transfer window.

Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy is hoping that Salah remains at the Anfield outfit and can hit the 20-goal mark in his second season at the Reds.

“I would like to see it. He has had such a big season,” Bellamy told Sky Sports.

“I am already looking at next year to see can he do it again. If he gets 20 odd next year that’s good. He will get double figure in assists. His contribution to the team is brilliant.”

Liverpool FC signed Salah in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window to improve Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options.

The Reds were 5-0 winners against Portuguese outfit FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16.

The Merseyside outfit will take on Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.
