The Egypt international moved to Liverpool FC in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Salah has been a huge hit at the Anfield outfit following a staggering return of 36 goals in 40 games in all competitions in his debut season at Liverpool FC.
The African forward scored four goals in a 5-0 win over Watford in his last Premier League outing before the international break.
The 25-year-old has earned some comparisons to Argentina and Barcelona legend Messi following his phenomenal goal record and performances.
Salah is sitting at the top of the Premier League goal-scoring charts after the summer signing netted 28 times in 30 games in the English top flight.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Ince believes it is far too early to compare Salah to Messi after one prolific season.
“Salah shouldn’t be compared to Messi – yet,” Ince told Paddy Power.
“I have seen a lot of discussion though, comparing him to Lionel Messi or saying he’s on the same level as a Liverpool legend. You just can’t go around saying that yet.
“It’s only been a season, but if he proves he’s at this level consistently for another couple of years, then you can start to say it. He’s had a phenomenal season, but to be one of Anfield’s best ever, you need to keep re-producing that form.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions League for the first time in two seasons.
The Reds were 5-0 aggregate winners against FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16 to set up a quarter-final meeting with Manchester City.
