Steven Gerrard believes Liverpool FC have a bright future under Jurgen Klopp.

The Reds signed off for the international break after Liverpool FC were pitted against Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.

The Merseyside outfit were impressive 5-0 winners against FC Porto in the round of 16 thanks to a resounding victory in Portugal before a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield in the return leg.

Liverpool FC were 5-0 winners against Watford at Anfield last weekend after Mohamed Salah netted four times to take his tally to 28 goals in 30 games in all competitions this season.

The 18-time English champions are in third place in the Premier League table and two points adrift of Manchester United following their rout of the London side.

Only Manchester City have scored more goals than Liverpool FC in the Premier League this season, while Virgil van Dijk’s addition has helped to improve Klopp’s back four.

Former Liverpool FC captain Gerrard believes the Reds have plenty of reasons to be optimistic ahead of their next Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

“I just think they’re a good all-round team now,” Gerrard told BT Sport.

“They’re all unselfish in the final third.

“I predict really good things going forward for this Liverpool FC team.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a Champions League spot in successive seasons.
