The Egypt international moved to the Reds in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Salah was signed to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s attack following an over reliance on Sadio Mane in the 2016-17 season.
The African forward has scored 28 times in 30 games in the Premier League this season to sit at the top of the division’s goal-scoring charts.
Salah has also netted eight times in the Champions League to help Liverpool FC reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
The 25-year-old will be hoping to fire Liverpool FC past Manchester City in the last eight next month.
Salah scored a superb solo goal in Liverpool FC’s 4-0 win over Wenger’s Arsenal side at Anfield back in August.
Wenger spoke in glowing terms about Salah ahead of Liverpool FC’s return to Premier League action at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
“For me, he’s one of the best players in Europe at the moment,” Wenger told beIN Sports.
“He can score goals against anybody because in England you have many good defenders and he’s top scorer in the Premier League.
“He’s scored in Italy and in England. ‘So overall, I think to keep him quiet will be very difficult at the World Cup.”
Salah has been attracting rumoured interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid in recent weeks.
The Reds finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions League.
