Matt Le Tissier has described Liverpool FC star Mohamed Salah’s incredible goal-scoring form as “phenomenal”.

The Egypt international completed a £39m move to Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window.

Salah struggled to impress during a brief stint at Chelsea FC before he moved to Serie A on loan at Fiorentina and AS Roma.

The African forward has impressed with his clinical form in the Liverpool FC team after hitting 24 goals in the Premier League this term.

Only Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has netted as many goals as the African footballer of the year.

Salah has netted 32 times in all competitions to surpass Luis Suarez’s return in their memorable 2013-14 season.

Former Southampton captain Le Tissier has explained why he has been so impressed with Salah’s goal-scoring heroics.

“I say that because scoring all of those goals from a wide position is quite phenomenal,” Le Tissier told Sky Sports.

“There’s not many who can score that volume of goals without playing centre-forward.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table to secure a return to the Champions League after a two-season absence.

The Reds reached the Champions League quarter-finals thanks to a 5-0 aggregate win against FC Porto in the last 16.
