Dirk Kuyt has heaped praise on Mohamed Salah for his brilliant form for Liverpool FC this season and is tipping him to help fire the Reds past Manchester City in the Champions League.

Salah has been one of the Premier League’s standout players in recent months following his fine displays since signing for the Reds from AS Roma last summer.

The 25-year-old has scored an incredible 28 goals in the Premier League so far this season to help Liverpool FC up into third place in the top flight table.

The Reds will take on Manchester City over two legs in the Champions League quarter-finals next month as they look to try and book their place in the last four.

And former Liverpool FC star Kuyt seems to think that Salah could be the star of the show as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to progress in Europe next month.

Kuyt is quoted as saying by Goal: “He’s an exciting player. He’s done so well and hopefully he can do the same thing in the Champions League against City.

“As an individual he’s doing great things, I’m sure he wants to achieve things with the team and maybe they can do that in the Champions League.”

Meanwhile, Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action after the international break when they travel to Crystal Palace in the top flight on Saturday afternoon.

Klopp’s men are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they look to try and secure a top-four finish this season.
