The Egypt international has been in brilliant form for the Reds this season since having signed for the Merseyside outfit from AS Roma in the summer transfer window last year.
Indeed, Salah has scored an amazing 28 goals in the Premier League so far this term to help Jurgen Klopp’s men up into third place in the top flight table.
The 25-year-old was in brilliant form in his last outing for Liverpool FC, when he scored four goals and set up the other in the 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield before the international break.
And former Liverpool FC forward Owen has been hugely impressed by the impact Salah has had since his move to Merseyside last year.
Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Mohamed Salah has scored in 20 of his 30 Premier League games so far this season and he is only one away from the record set by Robin van Persie (2012-13) and Cristiano Ronaldo (2007-08).
“That statistic shows vividly what a tremendous impact he has had on the Premier League in just his first season as a Reds player.”
Liverpool FC are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they bid to try and secure a top four finish for the second season running under Klopp.
The Reds will return to Champions League action next week when they take on Manchester City in the first leg of their quarter-final clash at Anfield on Wednesday night.
