Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, as quoted by talkSPORT, is reporting that Real Madrid have informed the 21-year-old that he is free to leave the La Liga club this summer after having struggled with consistent form in recent months.
The same report says that news will offer significant encouragement to Liverpool FC, who have reportedly been tracking Ceballos’ progress for “months”.
The midfielder has scored two goals in La Liga this season but has been limited to just two starts in the top flight and and nine appearances overall as he has struggled to hold down a regular spot in the team.
The same story says that Liverpool FC could be set to face competition from the likes of AC Milan and Juventus, who have both also reportedly been tracking the Spaniard.
The article also claims that Real Madrid have told interested clubs that Ceballos will not be allowed to leave for anything less than £25m this summer.
Liverpool FC are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer transfer window draws nearer.
