Liverpool FC are lining up an £87.5m move to sign Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this summer, according to reports in Germany.

German newspaper Bild, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp is in “close contact” with Werner’s camp as the Reds ponder a big-money move for the 22-year-old.

The forward has been in fine form for the Bundesliga side so far this season, scoring 11 goals and making three assists in 25 league games for the German team.

According to the same story, Klopp is a “huge admirer” of Werner and is keen to make a move to bring him to Anfield in the summer transfer window.

The report also says that Klopp has been in regular contact with Werner’s agent as the Liverpool FC boss looks to orchestrate a move to bring his client to the Premier League.

Liverpool FC are already signing one RB Leipzig player this summer, with midfielder Naby Keita set to sign for the Reds at the end of the season.

Werner has also netted three goals and made two assists in four Europa League games for the German side so far this season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are preparing to travel to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
