Virgil van Dijk looks to be in good shape as he continues to settle into life at Liverpool FC ahead of Saturday’s crunch showdown with Manchester United.

The Netherlands defender signed for the Reds in the January transfer window as Jurgen Klopp moved quickly to bolster his rearguard options at Anfield.

The 26-year-old has been a regular fixture in the first team at Anfield since his move to the club and he has been building a strong partnership with Dejan Lovren in the heart of the Reds’ defence.

Klopp’s Liverpool FC squad were put through their paces at Melwood last week ahead of their crunch clash against Manchester United in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

Also pictured in action during the training session were the likes of Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino, as the Reds prepared for their crunch game against Jose Mourinho’s men.

Liverpool FC know that a win over Manchester United would lift them up above their bitter local rivals and up into second place in the Premier League table.

The Reds warmed up for the game with a goalless draw against FC Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday night as they booked their place in the quarter-finals thanks to a 5-0 aggregate win.

Here are some of the best pictures from Liverpool FC’s latest training session at Melwood.
