The Liverpool FC star is facing an uncertain future at the Anfield outfit after entering the final few months of his current contract.
Can will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign unless Liverpool FC can convince the German star to sign a new deal.
The 24-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus over the past 12 months or so.
However, the Serie A champions appear to be facing competition for Can’s signature amid apparent interest from Real Madrid.
And Can has fuelled speculation that his future lies away from Liverpool FC after he spoke of his desire to play for a top club next term.
“Sure, the Bundesliga would interest me, why not? Although I must say honestly that the level has waned in recent years,” Can is quoted as saying by ESPN.
“The Premier League has the power to spend more money on players than the Bundesliga. This is very, very important for players.”
He added: “I have the self-confidence to say that my qualities are sufficient to play in a very big club next season.”
Can has scored four goals and has made four assists in 35 appearances in all competitions this season.
The German playmaker moved to Liverpool FC in a £6.75m deal from Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen in the 2014 summer transfer window.
The Reds finished in the Premier League’s top four last term thanks in part to Can’s performances in the heart of Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.
