Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Liverpool FC remain in talks with Emre Can about signing a new contract.

The Germany international is set to become a free agent at the end of the season when his current deal is set to expire.

The 23-year-old has been linked with a potential move to Serie A giants Juventus in the summer transfer window.

Premier League leaders Manchester City have been named as potential suitors for Can, while Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are also rumoured to be interested.

Can has blossomed into a key player at the Anfield outfit since Klopp took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.

The Liverpool FC star, who is set to miss their trip to Crystal Palace due to injury, has scored three times and has made four assists in 26 games in the Premier League this season.

Speaking at his pre-match media conference about Can’s future at Liverpool FC, the German head coach refused to rule out the German star committing to the 18-time English champions.

“We are in talks with him and it’s all good so far – apart from him signing a contract. That’s all,” Klopp said.

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.

The Reds will take on Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals on Wednesday night.
