Liverpool FC are lining up a summer transfer bid to try and sign Manuel Lanzini from West Ham United, according to reports in Argentina.

Argentinian outlet Diario Ole, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Jurgen Klopp is targeting the 25-year-old attacker to bolster his forward line-up at Anfield.

The same report says that Lanzini is one of the names at the top of Klopp’s transfer wishlist as he looks to bolster his squad in the summer transfer window.

The attacking midfielder has been in good form for West Ham United so far this season, scoring three goals and making five assists in 21 Premier League appearances for the Hammers.

The article suggests that Lanzini is one of Liverpool FC’s top targets as they look for a long-term replacement for Philippe Coutinho at Anfield following his exit to FC Barcelona in the summer.

Liverpool FC are likely to be linked with a host of players in the coming weeks and months as the summer window gives Klopp the chance to assemble a squad capable of challenging for the title next season.

The Reds are currently in third place in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification for the second season running under their German manager.
