Mourinho told 21-year-old deserves Man United spot after keeping Hazard quiet
Gary Pallister wants to see Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho stick with Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay

Scott McTominay deserves to keep his place in the Manchester United team after the midfielder marked Eden Hazard out of the game at Old Trafford last month, Gary Pallister has told Jose Mourinho.
The Red Devils midfielder has seized his chance to shine in the Manchester United team over the past couple of months after Mourinho dropped his record signing Paul Pogba to the bench.
The 21-year-old has started five of their last seven games to establish himself as a regular in the Manchester United team under Mourinho.
Indeed, the Portuguese coach gave McTominay the responsibility of starting the first leg of their Champions League last-16 clash at Sevilla last month.
The Scottish midfielder impressed in the goalless draw before he managed to keep Eden Hazard quiet in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Chelsea FC at Old Trafford.
Former Manchester United centre-half Pallister urged Mourinho to stick with McTominay in the Red Devils team ahead of the visit of Liverpool FC at Old Trafford on Sunday.
“He marked Eden Hazard out of the game,” Pallister told Sportingbet.
“What an education that was for him.
“The fact Jose has given him that responsibility speaks volumes about his confidence in him.
“He protected the back four really well, was physical and it was a very mature performance from him.
“He’s grasping his chance in the side and now deserves his place.”
Manchester United are in second place in the Premier League table ahead of their home clash against Liverpool FC at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
The Red Devils won the Europa League and the League Cup under Mourinho last term.
