The France international moved to the Red Devils in an £89m deal from Serie A giants Juventus in the 2016 summer transfer window.
Pogba was a key player under Mourinho last term after Manchester United won the Europa League and the League Cup.
The 25-year-old made a brilliant start to the current campaign following a return of two goals and two assists in four Premier League appearances.
The versatile midfielder suffered a hamstring problem in September and Pogba has struggled to rekindle his early season form since his return.
Mourinho has dropped Pogba from the Manchester United starting XI in recent weeks and the record signing was limited to appearances from the bench in both legs of a 2-1 aggregate loss to Sevilla in the Champions League round of 16.
Former Liverpool FC striker Bellamy has criticised Mourinho’s handling of Pogba in the current campaign.
“I don’t believe he has been used or handled anywhere near what a player like Pogba needs to be handed,” Bellamy told Sky Sports’ The Debate. “He just doesn’t look happy within himself.
“I don’t think he understands the role which he is being asked to play.
“I’m not sure when I watch him what type of midfield role he is playing.”
France international Pogba has scored three goals and has made nine assists in 24 games in the Premier League this term.
Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley next month.
