Italian newspaper La Repubblica, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Napoli are braced for the likelihood of losing the Brazil-born Italy international this summer.
The same report states that the 26-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with Liverpool FC in recent months.
Now, with Lucas Torreira set to arrive at the Serie A club from Sampdoria, the same report says that Jorginho’s exit from Napoli could well be on the cards in the off-season.
The same report, though, says that the Italian club think it is more likely that Jorginho will end up at Manchester United than Liverpool, with the Red Devils reportedly ready to pay a big fee to land their man.
The story says that Napoli would be “forced” to let Jorginho leave the club if Manchester United come in with a big-money offer this summer.
Jorginho has been in solid form for Napoli so far this season, scoring two goals and making four assists in 26 Serie A games for the Italian side.
