Mohamed Salah insists he is relishing the chance to take on David De Gea when Liverpool FC make the trip to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

The Egypt international is looking to score in his sixth successive Premier League game following strikes against Huddersfield, Tottenham, Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle.

Salah has netted nine times in his last 10 games in all competitions to hit top form ahead of their trip to bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.

Liverpool FC signed Salah in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the 2017 summer transfer window to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s attacking options.

The African forward was unable to get on the score sheet in Liverpool FC’s goalless draw with Manchester United at Anfield back in October.

Salah has scored against Arsenal, Chelsea FC, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur this term to highlight his big-game mentality.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Liverpool FC’s trip to Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

“I remember it [De Gea’s save]. I also missed an easy chance in that game, but he is great,” Salah said.

“Before the game you have to prepare yourself for the game, and you see the weakness of the players or the goalkeeper, and you have to try many times to break that and to score and to do something different.

“But we know we play against Manchester [United] and De Gea. He is a great goalkeeper and this is the only team I did not score against in the top six this season, so I will try.

“I try to look for a goal in any game I play. I thought already about that and I’m very excited to play in that game because this is the only team in the top six I didn’t score against. Only Manchester [United]!”

Salah has netted 32 times in 38 games in all competitions in his debut season at Liverpool FC following his big-money move from AS Roma.
