Isco is prepared to reject a move to Manchester United or Arsenal this summer to sign for Manchester City instead, according to reports in the British media.

The Sun, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that Isco is prepared to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season after only having signed a new deal with the Spanish side back in September.

The Spaniard is under contract at Real Madrid until the summer of 2022 and his release clause is thought to be in the region of €700m (£614m).

The same report says that Isco could be open to a move away from Real Madrid if the Spanish side look to bring in some attacking reinforcements this summer that would increase competition for places.

The story also claims that both Manchester United and Arsenal would be interested in signing the 25-year-old this summer, but that Manchester City would be his preferred destination.

The attacker has scored five goals and made five assists in La Liga this season but he has been limited to just 18 starts in the Spanish top flight under Zinedine Zidane.

He has also made one assist in the Champions League for the Spanish side so far this term.
