Henrikh Mkhitaryan has taken to social media to wish Zlatan Ibrahimovic all the best after his Manchester United exit was confirmed this week.

The Red Devils announced in a statement on Thursday that they had terminated the 36-year-old’s contract at Old Trafford with immediate effect to bring an end to his stint at Old Trafford.

Ibrahimovic is now set to join MLS side LA Galaxy as he winds down his career in the United States.

Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic both helped Manchester United to win both the Europa League and League Cup under Jose Mourinho last season.

The Armenia international has since left Old Trafford after having signed for Arsenal in the January transfer window.

And Mkhitaryan used his personal Instagram account to wish Ibrahimovic all the best after his exit from Old Trafford was confirmed on Thursday.

Mkhitaryan posted the picture above on the app and wrote the caption: “Show must go on in #hollywood 😎 It has been an honor to know you, Genius! All the best @iamzlatanibrahimovic #god #mkhitaryan #micki #friends.”

The playmaker will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action after the international break with a home clash against Stoke City.

Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table, with their chances of finishing in the top four this term now looking slim.
