Jose Mourinho is not planning to put Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba up for sale in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Yahoo! Sport is reporting that the Red Devils boss has decided to keep hold of the midfielder and look to try and get the best out of him in the 2018-19 campaign.

The same report quotes a source as claiming that Pogba’s head is “not in football” and that he is being distracted by aspects of his life away from the game.

However, the same story says that Mourinho is a fan of the France international and that he will try and get the best out of him in the coming months.

Pogba’s situation has been a source of uncertainty in recent weeks, with the midfielder having fallen out of favour at Old Trafford due to form and fitness issues.

The France international was dropped to the bench along with January signing Alexis Sanchez in the Red Devils’ most recent game – a 2-0 victory over Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Pogba will be hoping to have done enough to have forced his way back into the starting line-up when Manchester United take on Swansea City at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
