Michael Owen is backing Romelu Lukaku to score for Manchester United and help fire them to victory over Swansea City in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils are preparing to welcome the Swans to Old Trafford as they look to try and get their Premier League campaign back on track and finish in the top four this season.

Manchester United head into the game on the back of their 2-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in the FA Cup quarter-finals before the international break.

Lukaku has been in decent form for Manchester United since having signed for the Red Devils from Everton in the summer transfer window last year.

The 24-year-old Belgian forward has netted 14 times in the Premier League for Manchester United this season and has notched up seven assists for his team-mates.

And former Manchester United striker Owen is backing Lukaku to get on the score-sheet on Saturday and find the net to grab his 100th Premier League goal.

Writing in his blog for BetVictor, Owen said: “Romelu Lukaku has 99 Premier League goals to his name and I feel he will join the 100 club against a Swans side who have won their last two league games against ‘big six’ sides albeit both at the Liberty Stadium.”

Manchester United are second in the table as they look to secure a top four finish this season.

The Red Devils, who will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals next month, finished sixth last term.
