The Red Devils star has been one of Manchester United’s standout players this term despite the influx of big-name talent such as Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez.
Lingard has scored eight times and has made four assists in 26 appearances in the Premier League, while he has netted five goals in five games in cup competitions.
The Manchester United midfielder managed to transfer his form to the international stage with a goal and an assist in a 1-0 victory over the Netherlands and a 1-1 draw with Italy.
The 20-time English champions will welcome Swansea City to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon in search of a fourth successive win.
Lingard admitted that his England form has provided the midfielder with a big boost ahead of their next Premier League fixture at Old Trafford on Saturday.
“On a personal level being away with England was a successful trip. I played both games, contributed with a goal and assist,” Lingard told Man United’s website.
“It was a big boost for me and personally it’s good to help the team.
“You’ve got to work hard in training. That’s the main thing and if you do that and you’re picked for the game you’ve got to replicate that on the pitch. That’s what I’ve been trying to do this season and on a personal level it’s been going well.”
Manchester United are in second place in the Premier League table and 16 points adrift of runaway leaders Manchester City.
The Red Devils are a mere two points ahead of Liverpool FC in the race to finish in second place behind the Citizens.
