Manchester United have been told that they will have to pay at least £60m if they want to sign Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan this summer, according to reports in Italy.

Italian outlet Calciomercato, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that the Red Devils are keen to make a move for the 23-year-old Slovakia star.

However, the same story says that Inter Milan are desperate to keep hold of the defender and have placed a huge price-tag on his head in order to try and prevent a move away this summer.

The central defender has been in top form for Inter this season, scoring four goals in 28 Serie A games for the Italian side.

However, it would seem that Manchester United are set to have to pay over the odds if they want to bring him to Old Trafford this summer, with Inter valuing him at around £60m.

Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for a number of reinforcements this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to bolster his squad ahead of his third season in charge.

The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table and playing Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley next month.

Manchester United return to Premier League action with a home clash against Swansea City next weekend.
