Manchester United are hoping to complete a swoop to sign Tottenham Hotspur starlet Nonso Madueke, according to a report

Manchester United are lining up a swoop to sign 16-year-old Nonso Madueke from Tottenham Hotspur, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the Red Devils are eyeing a potential move to sign the England youth international from their Premier League rivals.

The same article states that Madueke is set to turn down a contract with Tottenham top open up the possibility of the teenager leaving the north London club.

According to the same story, Manchester United have invited the Tottenham starlet to join their Under-16 squad for a MIC tournament in Spain.

The Spurs teenager has also attracted interest from defending Premier League champions Chelsea FC, the Daily Mail article goes on to reveal.

If Madueke opts to leave Tottenham for one of their Premier League rivals, Spurs will be entitled to compensation.

Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley next month.

The Red Devils are in second place in the Premier League table and two points ahead of Liverpool FC in what promises to be a competitive end to the season.

Chelsea FC are also in the FA Cup semi-finals and the west London outfit will face Southampton.
