Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to beat Swansea City in their Premier League clash at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The Red Devils head into the game on the back of their 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton and Hove Albion before the international break.

Manchester United are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and secure a top four finish and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s men have been struggling for form in recent weeks and they were dumped out of the Champions League at the hands of Sevilla earlier this month.

However, former Red Devils striker Owen does not believe that Manchester United are going to have any trouble getting past the Swans when they visit Old Trafford this weekend.

Writing in his blog for BetVictor, former Manchester United forward Owen said: “United have already beaten Swansea twice so far this season and I think they will land the treble at Old Trafford.”

Manchester United have not won the Premier League title since their famous final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.

The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the table last term but won both the Europa League and League Cup in Mourinho’s first campaign at the helm at Old Trafford.
