Manchester United are hoping to raise £108m by selling five players under Jose Mourinho to fund a summer spending spree, according to a report in England.

The Sun is reporting that the Red Devils are planning to offload up to nine players in the summer transfer window to help raise significant transfer funds for Mourinho.

The same article reveals that Manchester United are hoping to secure a significant return on Ander Herrera, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Chris Smalling.

Blind, Darmian and Shaw have found themselves out-of-favour throughout most of the 2017-18 season under Mourinho as the Portuguese coach persists with veterans Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young at full-back.

According to the same story, Manchester United are ready to set a £14m asking price for Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind, while the Red Devils want £27m for Ander Herrera and £28m for Luke Shaw.

England international Smalling is also up for sale and the Red Devils will settle for a transfer fee in the region of £25m for the ex-Fulham defender.

The Sun claim that Manchester United already have around £130m in the transfer kitty as Mourinho looks to narrow the gap between the two Manchester clubs.
