Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists Arsenal have improved under Arsene Wenger in recent months.

The Gunners signed the Gabon international in a club record £56m deal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund on transfer deadline day in the January transfer window.

Aubameyang arrived at the north London club with a big reputation following 141 goals in 213 appearances in all competitions for the German side.

The 28-year-old has wasted no time leaving his imprint on the Arsenal team following a return of six goals in seven games in the Premier League this term.

Arsenal have managed to rally over the past few weeks to win their last six games in all competitions to restore some feel good factor at The Emirates.

The Gunners are in sixth spot in the table but remain 13 points adrift of Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur in the final two Champions League spots.

Arsenal can still qualify for Europe’s top competition if the Gunners win the Europa League this season.

The north London side are leading 4-1 against CSKA Moscow ahead of the second leg of their Europa League quarter-final in Russia on Thursday night.

Speaking to Sky Sports about their under-fire manager Wenger, Aubameyang said:

“It’s a difficult question. Sometimes I think it’s a bit unfair.

“We’re playing better in these last games and I hope the people can see this.”

Arsenal finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table last term.
