Ian Wright admits he doesn’t see any progress at Arsenal following another frustrating season.

The Gunners are in sixth place in the Premier League table and a long way behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal lost 2-1 to promoted side Newcastle United at St James’ Park in their last Premier League game on the road.

The north London side have only managed to win three of their 16 away games in the Premier League this term.

Arsenal lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the League Cup final at Wembley following a disappointing performance.

The Gunners can still qualify for next season’s Champions League if Arsenal win the Europa League this term.

However, Arsene Wenger’s side will have to get past La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the Europa League semi-finals.

The Frenchman has announced his intention to quit his Arsenal post after 22 seasons at the end of the campaign.

Former Arsenal striker Wright is unhappy with the Gunners’ lack of progress in the 2017-18 season.

“You can’t call Arsenal winning a game any more,” Wright told Sky Sports before the 4-1 win over West Ham on Sunday. “You don’t know what Arsenal team will turn up.

“It is very frustrating. You can’t see their progression at the moment.”

Arsenal missed out on a Champions League spot last term after the Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League last term.

The north London side signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window.
