Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has challenged Arsenal to improve their away record following Sunday’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at St James’ Park.

The Gunners continued their miserable record on the road in the Premier League this season following another disappointing defeat at Newcastle.

Ayoze Perez and Matt Ritchie both got on the score sheet to cancel out Alexandre Lacazette’s opener at St James’ Park.

Arsenal have only managed to win three of their 16 away games in the Premier League this term, collecting an underwhelming 13 points.

The Gunners have only managed to beat Burnley, Crystal Palace and Everton on the road, losing nine times in away fixtures in the Premier League.

Aubameyang moved to Arsenal in a club record £56m deal from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window.

The Gabon international has scored six times in eight games in the Premier League and made Lacazette’s goal at Newcastle.

Aubameyang took to Instagram to reflect on where Arsenal need to improve following their latest setback on the road.

He wrote on his photo-sharing app: “Bad result 😒 still need to improve when we play away from home. A New week start have a good one ✌🏽”

Arsenal signed Aubameyang and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan in the January transfer window to bolster their squad.

The Gunners haven’t won the Premier League title since 2003-04.
