Ander Herrera sends warning to Arsenal ahead of Man United trip
Ander Herrera warns Arsenal that Man United are out to beat the Gunners at Old Trafford next weekend
Ander Herrera has warned Arsenal that Manchester United are out to do whatever they can to beat the Gunners in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford next weekend.
Herrera scored Manchester United’s winning goal as the Red Devils booked their place in the FA Cup final with a 2-1 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon at Wembley.
The Red Devils are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and finish in second place and as runners-up to Manchester City in the top flight.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are currently down in sixth place in the Premier League table and looking like they will miss out on a top-four finish for the second season running.
The Gunners will be hoping to salvage their season by winning the Europa League this term to book a place in the Champions League.
However, Herrera has insisted that Manchester United are out to deny the Gunners victory next wekeend despite there being little to play for in the Premier League.
Herrera told MUTV: “We all have to stay calm and prepare for the [FA Cup] final properly. We still have to play a final and a final at Wembley is always a special game; you never know what can happen.
“So let’s prepare properly, but now let’s focus on Arsenal because we want to finish the season in second.”
Arsenal will return to Europa League action with a home clash against Atletico Madrid in the semi-final first leg on Thursday night at The Emirates.
