The Gunners will host the relegation candidates fresh from their resounding 4-1 win over CSKA Moscow in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium mid-week.
Arsenal signed Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a club record £56m deal in the January transfer window to bolster Arsene Wenger’s attacking options for the remainder of the season.
Aubameyang scored twice in a 3-0 win over Stoke City last weekend before he unselfishly presented Alexandre Lacazette with the chance to end his goal drought from the penalty spot.
Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and 13 points adrift of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to secure a Champions League spot.
Former Manchester United midfielder Ince is confident Arsenal will avoid a potential slip up against Southampton in their Premier League meeting on Sunday,
“All I can say is… I hope we don’t have another 45 minutes like the first half against Stoke last week!” Ince told the Daily Express.
“It was a terrible watch, but Arsenal should have enough for a poor Southampton side. Aubameyang looked decent, so a couple of quid on him to score may not be a bad shout either.”
The Gunners have won the FA Cup in three of the past four seasons but lost 4-2 to Championship side Nottingham Forest in the third round.
Arsenal also signed Manchester United star Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a swap deal with the Old Trafford outfit.
