Anthony Martial would be open to a move to Arsenal from Manchester United, according to a report in France.

French media outlet Le 10 Sport, as quoted by The Sun, is reporting that Arsenal are interested in the France international given his uncertain future at the Old Trafford outfit.

Martial has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Manchester United team since Jose Mourinho took over the reins from Louis van Gaal in May 2016 after the Dutch coach signed the forward 10 months earlier.

The same article states that the 22-year-old would consider a potential switch to Arsenal, which perhaps isn’t too surprising considering Arsene Wenger’s ties to his former club AS Monaco as well as the French contingent at The Emirates.

According to the same story, Arsenal would face competition from Serie A giants Juventus but Martial is hoping to remain in the Premier League rather than make the switch to the Italian top flight.

Martial has scored nine times and has made five assists in 16 starts and 11 substitute appearances in the current Premier League campaign.

Van Gaal signed the France starlet in a £36m deal from AS Monaco in 2015 and the exciting forward scored on his debut in a 3-1 win over Liverpool FC.
