Manchester United could be set for a transfer tussle with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Harry Maguire in the summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Star is reporting that the 25-year-old Leicester City defender is high up on Manchester United’s list of targets ahead of the summer window.

However, the Red Devils could be set to face competition from the likes of the Gunners and Spurs, both of whom are reported to have had enquiries for Maguire knocked back in the January transfer window.

The same story also says that Premier League champions Manchester City could also be set to make a move to try and sign the young defender this summer.

However, the report also claims that Leicester City are “desperate” to keep hold of Maguire after having only signed him from Hull City last summer.

Maguire has been in good form for the Foxes this term and has scored two goals and made four assists in 33 Premier League appearances.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are likely to be on the lookout for significant reinforcements this summer as they look to build sides capable of winning the Premier League next season.
