Antonio Conte has called on his Chelsea FC players to show professionalism as they bid to try and end the campaign on a high.

The Blues suffered a damaging blow to their hopes of finishing in the top four this season after they lost 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

That result left Chelsea FC with it all to do in the race for Champions League qualification, with Conte’s men now fifth in the table and eight points behind Spurs with seven games left to play.

It looks likely that the Blues will miss out on a spot in next season’s Champions League in what has turned out to be a disappointing campaign for the west London side.

Chelsea FC do still have the FA Cup to play for and they will take on Southampton in the semi-finals at Wembley later this month.

And Conte has called on his players to show focus and determination in the coming weeks as they look to try finish the campaign in good form.

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Conte said: “I think that the players are giving everything this season.

“We are working very hard to try to have a good season. Now is the moment to continue to work with great professionalism. We are doing this.

“We have to try until the end to do our best. I think if we are in this position, we are deserving of this position. Yes. I am sure about this.

“We are working very well, we are working very hard and the commitment of the players is top. Despite this, we stay in this position. We must be a bit worried about this.”

Chelsea FC will return to Premier League action next weekend when they take on West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
