Ian Wright believes Chelsea FC will continue to be successful even if Antonio Conte is sacked.

The defending Premier League champions suffered a 3-1 loss to bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend.

Christian Eriksen cancelled out Alvaro Morata’s opener before Dele Alli scored twice in the second half to seal a comfortable win.

Chelsea FC are eight points behind fourth-placed Tottenham following their first loss to Tottenham at Stamford Bridge since 1990.

The Blues manager is facing speculation surrounding his future with a top-four finish looking unlikely.

Chelsea FC lost 4-1 to Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 last month to heap further pressure on Conte.

Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Chelsea FC fans shouldn’t worry about Conte’s potential axing affecting their future success.

“We have seen this happen at Chelsea before and they’ve come back from it,” Wright told BBC Radio 5 Live.

“If Conte is there next season or not, they will bring people in and Chelsea win again. They have the season off and come back to win the league.”

Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last term after finishing seven points clear of Tottenham.

The west London outfit can take on Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final with a place in the Wembley showpiece up for grabs.

Chelsea FC were 2-1 winners against Leicester City in the previous round to set up a meeting with the Saints.
