The Blues signed Giroud in a £24m deal from Arsenal in the January transfer window after the France international fell down the pecking order at the north London club in recent seasons.
The 31-year-old came off the bench to inspire a 3-2 comeback win over Southampton at St Mary’s last weekend following two goals in the second half at St Mary’s in the Premier League.
Giroud’s match-winning performance earned him a starting spot in Antonio Conte’s side for their FA Cup semi-final clash against the Saints at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The French striker justified his inclusion with a brilliant solo goal to break the deadlock in the last-four clash.
Chelsea FC’s reward for their 2-0 win over Southampton in the semi-final is a clash against Manchester United in the FA Cup showpiece at Wembley next month.
Hazard is confident that Giroud can prove the difference in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
“I hope that we will win it this time – last year we sadly lost the final,” Hazard told BT Sport.
“But we have Olivier Giroud now. He often wins finals. Certainly the FA Cup.”
Hazard and Chelsea FC suffered a 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season despite the Blues winning the Premier League title with two games to spare last term.
