Gilberto Silva has admitted that he would find it difficult to play against Chelsea FC midfielder N’Golo Kante.

The France international has established himself as a top player at Chelsea FC and Leicester City over the past two and a half seasons.

Kante was a key part of the Leicester side that won an unprecedented title under Claudio Ranieri in 2015-16.

His performances earned him a move to Chelsea FC in a £30m deal from Leicester in the 2016 summer transfer window.

Kante helped Chelsea FC to go from tenth place to title champions in his first season at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old was named the PFA player of the year award thanks to his outstanding performances.

Kante has still acquitted himself well during his second season at Stamford Bridge despite Chelsea FC’s well-documented struggles.

Former Arsenal star Silva explained why he is such a big fan of Kante.

“Kante keeps it nice and simple. He is so powerful,” Gilberto told Sky Sports.

“If I was going to play against him, it would be very hard. He never stops. He is like a machine. He plays a simple game but he sacrifices for the team.”

Chelsea FC finished seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in the title race last term.

The Blues will take on Premier League rivals Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley this month.

Chelsea FC haven’t won the Champions League since 2012 when the Blues beat Bayern Munich on penalties.
