Real Madrid could be set to make a move to re-sign Alvaro Morata from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Express is reporting that the Spanish giants could be willing to offer Morata the chance to end his Chelsea FC “nightmare” and secure a transfer back to the Bernabeu.

Morata has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge since having signed for the Blues from Real Madrid in July last year, but he has struggled for both form and fitness in recent weeks.

The 25-year-old was left out of the Spain squad for their recent friendly games and he had only scored one goal this year ahead of Sunday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur.

According to the same story, Morata is on Real Madrid’s transfer wishlist this summer and he could be targeted if the Spanish club fail to sign Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.

Morata will be hoping to help Chelsea FC enjoy a positive end to the season and go one step further in the FA Cup this term.

The west London side will take on Southampton at Wembley later this month as they look to set up a final against either Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United.
