The French striker opted to leave the north London side and move to their local rivals at the turn of the year after having found his first-team opportunities at The Emirates to be limited this season.
Giroud has made a decent start to life at Stamford Bridge and he scored Chelsea FC’s opening goal in their 2-0 win over Southampton in the FA Cup semi-finals on Sunday.
Conte opted to start the France striker ahead of Alvaro Morata on Sunday, with the Spaniard having come off the bench to net Chelsea FC’s second goal at Wembley.
And Conte has admitted that he has been thrilled by the impact Giroud has had at Chelsea FC following his move to Stamford Bridge back in January.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Sunday, Conte said: “He [Giroud] has been a good signing for us, for sure.
“I needed a player with his characteristics: strong physically, able to hold the ball up allow our number 10 to make combinations with him.”
Chelsea FC will take on Manchester United in the FA Cup final next month as they look to try and end the season on a high.
The Blues will first switch their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their trip to Swansea City this weekend.
