The 31-year-old forward has been getting used to his new club after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements by Arsene Wenger at The Emirates this season.
Giroud has been fighting Alvaro Morata for a starting spot up front for Chelsea FC and has scored one goal so far in all competitions this season.
The striker was in action for the French national team during the international break and he will be hoping to hold down a regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge this season as he bids to win a place in the squad for the World Cup.
And Conte has expressed his happiness with the way Giroud has been settling into life at Stamford Bridge following his move from Arsenal.
Speaking at a news conference at Cobham on Thursday, Conte said: “Olivier is an international player with great experience.
“For sure they [him and Morata] are two different players, and I am happy to have the possibility to pick one solution or another solution.
“Now we have two strong possibilities and I have to make the best decision. For sure when a striker is not scoring the confidence can go down. Goals are of vital importance.”
Chelsea FC know that victory over Spurs would leave them two points behind the Lilywhites as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
The west London side are currently in fifth place in the table as they bid to break back into the top four before the season is out.
